Karon Kipple is directing the work of Carnegie’s project on statistics pathways in community colleges. She comes to Carnegie from San Diego City College, where she was associate professor of mathematics. Her focus has been on implementing innovative approaches to improving student performance through contextualized discovery-based learning. She has taught statistics and mathematics at the high-school level and at Texas A & M University. She has a B.A. in mathematics from Trinity University and holds a Ph.D. in statistics from Texas A&M University.
