Bio

Rachel Mudge is faculty-in-residence for the 2010 – 2011 academic year with Carnegie's Statway and Quantway initiatives. She is on sabbatical from Foothill College in Los Altos, California, where she is a faculty member in the Mathematics Department. At Foothill, Rachel co-founded Math My Way; a developmental math program for arithmetic and pre-algebra for community college students. Rachel has a master's degree in applied math from Santa Clara University.

At Carnegie, she is closely working with math faculty around the nation who are involved in shaping Statway and Quantway. She is known for her out-of-the-box ideas and is passionate about making math more accessible for all students.
