Ray Pecheone is the Executive Director of the Stanford Center for Assessment Learning and Equity (SCALE). He has worked in the area of assessment in several capacities. He co-founded the Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (INTASC), which is housed at the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO). He co-developed one of the first performance assessments for principal licensure called, the Connecticut Administrator Test (CAT).
Teacher Assessment and Teacher Quality
Ray Pecheone visited Carnegie in March for a brown bag talk with staff. He presented on his work with SCALE, which focuses at the school, district and state levels on (a) the development of teacher evaluation performance assessments for teachers and administrators and (b) the development of a performance-based system for student assessment to support the development of the next generation of formative and summative assessments.
