Abstract:
Medical Education in Europe, a report by Abraham Flexner, considers the condition and foundation of contemporary medical education in Germany, Great Britain and France, the preliminary and the medical sciences, clinical instruction, curricula and examinations, post-graduate education, the medical education of women, the number and distribution of physicians, the financial aspects of medical education, and the problem of sects and quacks. Flexner contrasts these European conditions with those in the United States and Canada.
