Kendra Yarbor
Kendra Yarbor, PhD joined the Carnegie Foundation in 2023 as an Engagement Strategist. Prior to joining the Foundation, she served in Development at Pérez Art Museum Miami in Florida, managing the museum’s grants portfolio and related strategy. Earlier in her career, she led first-year students in the Myra Kraft Transitional Year Program at Brandeis University, where she also served as a Campus Mentor for Posse Scholars.
Dr. Yarbor received her PhD from the Department of Near Eastern and Judaic Studies at Brandeis University, where she also earned a Joint MA in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies and Women’s and Gender Studies. Prior to this graduate work, she received her MDiv from Duke University and a BA in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her scholarly interests are in theology and the study of religion, with a special interest in the intersection of race and the formation of religious identity.
