Ann Lieberman

Senior Scholar


Ann Lieberman leads Foundation projects on teacher preparation and the scholarship of K-12 teachers and teacher educators. She is a professor emeritus from Teachers College, Columbia University, as well as co-founder of the National Center for Restructuring Education, Schools and Teaching. She has written and edited numerous books and articles on the professional development of teachers and the conditions of school reform. Lieberman is a past president of the American Educational Research Association. She earned her master's at California State University at Northridge and her bachelor's and doctorate at the University of California, Los Angeles.
