The Statistics Pathway (Statway) program, which focuses on statistics, data analysis and quantitative reasoning, will be tested nationwide by the Carnegie Foundation. Statway is designed for developmental math students as a one-year pathway that culminates in college statistics.

Statway will move developmental math students to and through transferable college statistics in one year. This program will help prepare students for careers in all kinds of fields, and it will offer the math literacy students need. “Statistics is a class that students might actually find helpful," said Marilyn Mays, executive dean of mathematics and science at NLC, “It is the one area of math that you could use every day.” This article is in the News-Register.
