Assessing Teaching Collaboratory

The Institute for Education Sciences (IES) has commissioned the Carnegie Foundation to convene field leaders involved in the conceptualization, development, implementation, and use of teacher evaluation systems. The Assessing Teaching Collaboratory is a group of education scholars and providers whom we will engage in an inquiry process to inform a dynamic research agenda that will shape the nation’s investment in teacher evaluation systems for the foreseeable future. Our main objectives are to synthesize what is already known, learn from practice as it emerges, and frame a dynamic R&D agenda that will advance further improvements and inform IES’ investment in teacher evaluation work.
