Improvement team facilitators are often responsible for developing groups of people who may not routinely work together into functioning learning teams. This requires establishing norms, roles and responsibilities, as well as setting up routines to support the different kinds of activities the team will engage in.
These sample agendas offer ways to organize three key kinds of meetings an improvement facilitator may lead:
- Setting Up Team Roles & Routines. This agenda can be used as a team is formed to define how the team will work together and set expectations.
- Team Huddle. Regular, short check-ins can build momentum for a team by creating space to briefly check in on progress, share obstacles and problem solve, and celebrate small wins. This 30-minute agenda can be used to structure a team huddle.
- Knowledge Consolidation. Periodically, improvement teams come together to share individual learning, summarize collective understanding, and determine next steps during the problem investigation and testing phases of an improvement effort. This agenda can be used to structure this kind of knowledge consolidation activity.
