Overview

Transforming Educational Systems to Continuously Improve is a 12-week course designed for systems-level educational leaders and those who advise them. This course deepens participants’ understanding of the three domains of leadership for system transformation described in the publication Transforming Educational Systems Toward Continuous Improvement: A Reflection Guide for K–12 Leaders (Key Dispositions, Core Practices, and System Levers) and provides opportunities for participants to apply them to their own development and system.

Learning Objectives

Through this course, participants will:

  • deepen their understanding of each of the three domains of leadership (key dispositions, core practices, and strategic use of system levers) that empower executive leaders to catalyze system-level transformation toward continuous improvement
  • apply their learning to their own development as a leader of transformation and the advancement of system-level continuous improvement

Intended Audience

This course is intended to serve educational leaders who are spearheading the transformation of their system to serve all students equitably and to build an organization that is capable of sustaining continuous improvement. While this offering is primarily intended for PK-12 superintendents and chief executive officers of charter organizations and their leadership teams, it is also designed to support those who are engaged in work to prepare or advise system-level leaders.
