Focus Areas: Equity, Diversity, and Belonging;  Improvement Capability; Student Attainment; Student and staff social emotional wellbeing

We all know that culture eats strategy for breakfast. How can we embed structures that support schools in building truly student-centered cultures? When students are included in improvement work it supports us in centering their experience and developing an asset-based-lens approach to improvement work, removing biases that can crop up when we find ourselves doing research “on people” instead of “with people.” In this session we will outline the tools and strategies we use to center the student experience in our improvement work with our 8th grade on track CARE network.
