During this activity groups will practice identifying the components of a well-crafted aim statement (specifying what will be improved, by when, by how much, and for whom) and consider how the sample aims provided might be improved. Groups will also discuss the role of aim statements in motivating collective action. This activity can be used after an introduction to aim statements or to encourage a group to formulate their own impressions about the components of a good aim statement prior to direct instruction.
