Kareen Mo Yang is the managing director of the project management and program support team at the Carnegie Foundation. In this role she manages and supports all of the Foundation’s project managers and program coordinators in their efforts to budget, plan, and successfully execute all Carnegie programs. Kareen has also been the project manager and lead for delivering the Carnegie Foundation Summit on Improvement in Education since the inaugural Summit in 2014. Prior Carnegie roles include assistant director of external offerings and partnerships, as well as the project manager of the Advancing-Teaching Improving Learning and the Building a Teaching Effectiveness Network programs. Before coming to the Foundation in 2010, Kareen was a research and events manager at the National Writing Project at the University of California, Berkeley. In this role Kareen led the development of instrumentation and coding systems for the national NWP Legacy Survey and managed the annual National Scoring Conferences (6000+ student artifacts). She has a BA in psychology from UC Berkeley.
