Carnegie Foundation Summit on Improvement in Education
April 1-3, 2020
San Francisco Marriott Marquis
SUMMIT SITE VISITS (TUESDAY, MARCH 31)
New this year, the Carnegie Summit will offer the opportunity to participate in full-day site visits on Tuesday, March 31. Participants will visit organizations deeply engaged in their system’s cultural transformation and improvement journey and learn from leaders and practitioners in their work settings.
Registration for each site visit requires a separate registration fee of $625 per person, which includes a box lunch and bus travel between the site and the San Francisco Marriott Marquis. In order to participate in a site visit, you must also be registered to attend the general conference. Site visits are limited to a small number of attendees, so we encourage you to register early.
SUMMIT PRE-CONFERENCE COURSES (WEDNESDAY, APRIL 1)
$625 — Standard Rate
Registering for a Summit pre-conference course provides you with access to a full-day course on April 1 with lunch. In order to participate in a pre-conference course, you must also be registered to attend the general conference.
SUMMIT GENERAL CONFERENCE (WEDNESDAY, APRIL 1–3)
Summit general conference registration includes access to all keynotes, breakout sessions, poster sessions, and receptions on April 1–3. Lunch will be provided on April 2 and 3. As noted above, both site visits on March 31 and pre-conference courses on April 1 require separate registration fees.
A group of five or more people registering together at the same time will automatically receive a discounted rate of $885 per person. To access this rate, after registering the initial person, click the “Add Group Member” button on the Registration Summary screen. Complete the same steps for each additional person in your group. The discount will be automatically applied on the payment screen after the threshold of five registrations has been met. The group discount cannot be applied retroactively, so be sure to register your entire group together in one registration session.
Please note that the group discount is only applicable to the general conference registration rate and cannot be combined with any special registration rates, including federal government, full-time student, or K–12 teacher rates.
FEDERAL GOVERNMENT RATE
The federal government rate of $885 applies to federal government employees only. To access this rate, please email Summit registration (email@example.com) with a copy of your government ID or an official letter confirming your status. Upon verification, a discount code will be provided for you to complete your registration.
FULL-TIME STUDENT RATE
A limited number of student registrations are available at the special rate of $695. Only full-time undergraduate and graduate students who are currently attending an accredited, degree-granting college or university are eligible for the student rate.
To access this rate, choose “Full-Time Student” from the dropdown menu during registration. You must also upload an official document confirming your status during the registration process. Please refer to the FAQ for a list of accepted official documents. Your registration will not be confirmed until we have reviewed and approved your document submission.
K-12 TEACHER RATE
A limited number of teacher registrations are available at the special rate of $695. Only full-time teachers at K–12 institutions are eligible for the teacher rate. The teacher rate does not apply to school administrators, including principals and faculty members teaching at higher education institutions.
To access this rate, choose “K–12 Teacher” from the dropdown menu during registration. You must also upload an official document confirming your status during the registration process. Please refer to the FAQ for a list of accepted official documents. Your registration will not be confirmed until we have reviewed and approved your document submission.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Refunds are limited to conference fees paid and do not include any travel, lodging, transportation, or other fees paid independently of conference registration.
– Cancellations received up until 11:59 p.m. PST on February 1, 2020, will be refunded less a $100 processing fee.
– Cancellations received up until 11:59 p.m. PST on March 1, 2020, will receive a 50% refund.
– Cancellation refunds will not be issued on or after 12:00 a.m. PST on March 2, 2020.
Substitutions can be made until March 30, 2020, without an additional processing fee. The original attendee must send a substitution request to Summit registration (firstname.lastname@example.org).
If a cancellation is completed for an attendee who has received a group discount (five or more registered together), and if the cancellation causes the group size to drop to four or less, the discount will no longer apply. The standard registration rate will then be applied to the remaining group members, and they will be responsible for paying the difference.
Refunds may be granted if an attendee is unable to attend the conference due to a family death, illness, or other extraordinary circumstance. In such a circumstance, Summit registration must be contacted via e-mail (email@example.com). Refunds will be subject to a $100 processing fee.
