Structuring Change and Empowering Mathematics Teacher Voice in a Statewide Network

60-min | In-Person
Focus Areas: Educator Development, Improvement Capability, Spread and Scale

The Mountaineer Mathematics Master Teachers (M3T) project is a statewide NIC in West Virginia aimed toward increasing the number of students engaged in “doing mathematics” in meaningful ways and to support teacher agency and leadership in those improvement efforts. In this session, we will engage participants in a range of tools and routines that have been developed and refined through the project’s work so far. Details will be shared on the development of these tools, their impact on classrooms and on teacher and teacher leader development, and their utility in structuring collaborative improvement. Participants will be invited to discuss potential uses in other contexts.
